Dublin to Antalya Dental Holiday: Flights, Timing and What a Week Looks Like

How Irish patients get to Antalya for dental treatment: SunExpress direct flights, winter connections via Istanbul, hotels, transfers, and a realistic 5–7 day clinic week with DentalTrip.

Quick answer

A dental holiday from Dublin to Antalya is a 4 hour 55 minute direct SunExpress flight (up to five times a week, late March to late October), a hotel within 15 minutes of the clinic, and 5–7 days of short appointments — not a week in the chair. In winter you connect via Istanbul (about 7.5 hours door to door) or choose our Istanbul partner clinics on the daily 4h 25m Turkish Airlines flight. Irish passports do not need a visa under 90 days. DentalTrip books or advises flights, hotel and private transfers before you leave Ireland.

A dental holiday in Antalya from Ireland is not a cruise-ship brochure. It is a planned medical trip with proper days off built in. Irish patients who do it well treat the flight like a work trip: direct where possible, hotel near the clinic, coordinator on WhatsApp, appointments that leave afternoons free.

DentalTrip is the agency that puts that week together from Ireland.

Getting there from Dublin

Antalya, in season: SunExpress Dublin–Antalya, about 4 hours 55 minutes, typically late March to late October, up to five weekly. That is the flight most of our Irish veneer and crown patients use.

Antalya, in winter: connect in Istanbul. Door to door is often around 7.5 hours. Some patients simply book Istanbul treatment instead, on Turkish Airlines’ daily 4h 25m Dublin–Istanbul service.

Cork, Shannon, Knock: there is no useful direct Antalya service. Most patients position to Dublin or fly Dublin–Istanbul.

We can book the flights or send options. You are not required to use our fare.

Where you stay

In Antalya we place patients in 4- or 5-star hotels in Lara or Konyaaltı, within about 15 minutes of the partner clinic. Private transfers: airport–hotel–clinic, included. You are not navigating Antalya traffic after oral surgery with a Google pin.

Istanbul patients stay in Şişli, Nişantaşı or Taksim, depending on the clinic that fits the plan.

What a 5–7 day week actually feels like

Appointments are usually two to three hours. You are not in the chair from breakfast to dinner.

  • Day 1: land, rest or go straight to examination if the flight timing fits. The plan you approved in Ireland is confirmed — not rewritten.
  • Middle days: preparation, lab work, try-ins. Swim, walk the seafront, sleep.
  • Last clinic day: bond or fit, bite check, warranty paperwork, Med 2 started.
  • Fly home the next morning when possible, so you are not rushing through security with a numb lip.

Implant surgery follows the same idea on visit one, with a second trip months later. Implant timeline.

Time, plugs, money, insurance

Turkey is two hours ahead of Ireland in summer (check the current offset). Sockets are European two-pin. Euro cards work; you will not need a suitcase of lira. Travel insurance should name planned dental treatment — many standard policies exclude it. We flag this in the joining notes.

Irish passport: no visa under 90 days; 150 days’ validity from arrival is the safe reading of entry rules. Confirm before you fly; rules can move.

Why the agency exists on this trip

The clinic is excellent at teeth. It is not a travel agent, and it is not in Irish hours when you are packing in Maynooth at 10pm. DentalTrip is the named coordinator: flights advice, hotel, transfers, the dentist who already saw your photos, and the WhatsApp line that stays open when you are home.

Ireland is our second home for this reason. We would rather you land bored because everything was obvious than land lost.
